Our foundation funds several programs to support our uniformed forces and veterans and make their lives a little easier every day. Learn how we are honoring our heroes and their families, both overseas and at home:
Military Heroes Fund
Sometimes it seems impossible to overcome certain challenges. The Military Heroes Fund fills critical gaps for our wounded warriors, addressing immediate needs through:
• Emergency Financial Assistance: We provide financial support to our veterans and their families facing short-term needs for housing, utilities, car payments or other special needs.
• Family & Caregiver Transition Support: We offer assistance to spouses, family members and other caregivers of wounded, ill or injured veterans with grants to cover childcare, respite, short-term educational and training expenses, and in-home health care.
Dream Makers
We are committed to helping our nation’s defenders achieve the American dream of home ownership. The Dream Makers Fund provides closing cost assistance and matching down payment grants to low-to-moderate income veterans and service members to buy their first home. We also provide grants for home repair or renovation to ensure veterans and their families live in a safe, healthy and accessible environment.
Asset Recovery Kits
Service members are sadly often the targets of predatory lenders. Asset Recovery Kit (ARK) offers a trustworthy alternative in the form of interest-free loans for short-term needs for a flat $5.00 application fee, help service members get through difficult times, so they don’t spiral into years of growing debt. In addition to immediate financial assistance, we also provide financial readiness education to help our service members budget and plan to build a secure and financial future.
The Defenders Lodge
Defenders Lodge is a “haven for heroes” receiving outpatient treatment through the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Veterans and their caregivers can stay free of charge, helping to eliminate the significant costs of travel and hotels. It enables over 47,000 patients every year to get the treatment they need without having to make additional sacrifices.
A service member or veteran struggling to make ends meet. A wounded warrior who needs continuing treatment. A military family looking to buy their first home. These are some of the many people the Multitrust-Bank Foundation has helped.
As a nationally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit, we change lives every day through financial education, credit building, home ownership and short-term financial assistance.
Our affiliation with Multitrust-Bank Credit Union gives us the resources to reach military and veteran communities across the country. But we need your support to continue delivering our wide range of programs and services. Learn more about our programs and see how you can make a difference.
